Ultrasound Lab

The use of ultrasound has been widely used throughout the medical field and has many different applications. It is used to create an image of internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, blood vessels, and internal organs. Its aim is often to find a source of a disease or to exclude pathology.

The Ultrasound Lab is lead by Robert O’Reilly, a sonographer who is competent in abdominal and pelvic ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, small parts, pleural space and has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound. 3D and 4D obstetric imaging is also offered at the practice.

The ultrasound lab is based within Scottburgh Diagnostic Imaging and therefore x-rays are also readily available.
